Jumping into the live stream…news!

As we make these final preparations for our travels, getting prepared to traverse 5,000+ miles in the bus, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be live streaming as much as we possibly can on The Dragon’s Red Dirt Tour!

Please join us and tune in when you can; this will be a whole new level of “being here now” and “hearing now” as you are welcome to step into the many interesting venues we’ll be sharing our music at: from a coffee shop in Flagstaff, AZ to a club that never closes on the edge of the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA.  To receive notifications, like us on Facebook, follow us on Instagram, and/or subscribe to our YouTube channel!  (See the “Follow Us” tab on the menu for links) 😉

Klamath Falls –> Applegate, OR

Victor and Shari,

marvelous hosting us and

the bus in the field.

~

Dis got chance to play,

slippers and trash she frayed,

boot she took away

~

To Hobbit Fortress

We slowed down in Jacksonville,

did some time travel

~

Logistical WHOA

parking and shuttling gear

down, and under hill…

~

We made it happen

“but never again,” we say,

What a weird party…

~

Painting was finished

by children, while spliffs were smoked

individually

~

The dogs were barking,

Dis was yippy and ancy,

place was cool and weird…

~

Good to see Dylan

a late night schlepping of gear,

sleeping in the bus

Oregon –> Willits, CA

Picked up hitchhiker

Robyn woke up Smith River

Epic through Humboldt

~

Long drive to Willits

We made it to Shenachie

Played a tight two sets

~

Back home through traffic

Bittersweet landing for now

Corvallis –> Portland, OR

Showers, breakfast, yum

Billy breakfasted with Steel

a little ether

~

To Portland we go,

Through the ice and snow on roads

not going so slow.

~

Arrived early at

The Analog Theater

We’re well received there

~

Portland vibes and scene

We rocked and rolled longer on

Stage for snowy crowd

~

JGBD Band

Brought people out in the snow

and Robyn got drunk.

~

Portland bus antics

Some recorded, some questioned,

Our friends are awesome.

Kyler hosted us,

Had to leave early to go

South to Klamath Falls.

Portland –> Klamath Falls, OR

Winter wonderland

Through Willamette Pass, we stand

Beauty all around

Oregon mountain towns

The Dragon sure likes it here

We are sailing smooth

We meet with Victor,

who guides us to our parking,

We have mutual

Ashland–>Corvallis

The Dragon, Awake,

Slumbers in Jackson Wellsprings

We head to Grant’s Pass

~

Fuel filter gasket

Air leak and no pressure in

It was pretty rough

 

Grant’s Pass re-supply

Other cars flying by us,

Had to stop again.

~

Two ravens flew high,

Blessing our safe passage

Hour to work, jam, pray

The Dragon purrs when

We arrive in the mountains

Like he’s home again

~

Over big mountain

passes, we are flying fast

Now we are late, but

~

No one arrived at

Samm’s house in Corvallis ’til

We found snowy town.

~

We played acoustic

in the warm old house, birthday

Enjoyment to all

(drunk cat.)

~

{Once we got to the snowy mountain passes of Oregon, we experienced a relatively smooth ride, experienced epic scenery, played amazing shows, meeting fun folk along the way…tell you more about it next week!}

Pulled over in Weed

Shasta energy

palpable as we journey

into the mountains

Raining in Ashland

Oberon’s is warm, friendly

Fairie folk abound

~

Enjoying the sound

Gordon guides us to Wellsprings

A breath, divine

Reminders of the present, in time,

Re-members of the past,

All those little moments

Combined

For the possibility of this one.

Planning ahead, moment to moment,

Or reflecting on the past ones,

Why do I whine?

I’ve got to wash the dishes

So I can dine!
